Should be in the toolbox of every mac user who uses any internet apps.
Comments and replies on Cover Stream:
This could potentially be interesting, but in my opinion it has a while to go until it can match the likes of CoverSutra.
The sceaming obvious idea that springs to mind when using this application is the possibility of "turning" around the cover to reveal a track-list so you can pick individual tracks, much like the iPhone.
@arne: Please check again 2.0, it improved allot and perhaps will match your request :)
Comments and replies on TaskPaper:
I love this, not sure if I need OmniFocus now.
I will wait with my judgment until the projects gets more mature. The concept is very nice, but the current version (0.2) is not ready for heavy every-day use.
@Alpha:
I would highly recommend a visit to the Hog Bay forums and add in your suggestions/thoughts/comments for TaskPaper
I moved my entire system over to TaskPaper and I love it. Highly recommended for .txt lovers.
This is absolutely the GTD app I've been looking for. Simple, works great, can't wait for the final release (writing this at v0.2).
Pretty cool! I like the simplicity of the approach. Probably, I won't be able to implement my GTD workflow with this app, but it gets the job done for small lists.
I use this every day at the moment and find it really good. It's simple beyond belief and seems to work well enough bar a couple of bugs here and there.
It's good but it's not $18.95 good, shame. Will have to find something else...
rossag - There is a Vim plugin that mimics TaskPaper available from the Hog Bay Software Products page (There is one for TextMate as well but TextMate costs money and it seems you are seeking a free alternative).
Thanks for the heads up. I want to make it clear though that I am not simply after a free bit of software but instead something that has a price that reflects the product. I was very much keen on buying this, even though it is still in its infancy – I think it's a good product.
HogBay is willing to provide an academic discount (25% off, as remarked at the forums for students, so that should alleviate the issue of cost to a certain extent.
very slick. integration with Leopard's task-server on the horizon? sync with iphone?
This is a great little program. I'm a big fan. It's nice and simple so you don't waste too much time getting it set up how you like.
Am I missing something? I tried to use this for a few days, but dropped it. Should you be able to get a list of all projects without tasks? I really want that.
I do certainly like the idea. And I especially like that the files it creates can be edited in any text editor. But... I guess it's just not quite enough.
@patlaj - Keep an eye out for the next version... maybe next month or two... development versions can be downloaded from my forums now. Among other things it will give you a number of ways to show all projects in a single list.

I love how you can easily access your music, address book etc, and view/play it in your browser if you are not with your computer.
Could do with a little interface lift, but its a great effort.

Probably the most useful app I have found in a long time.
