God, this program is so good. I cannot begin to tell you how easy this program is to use. Shell the cash out and buy it!
I used this for a while before I switched to Schoolhouse, which has many more features and has a better layout.

This is a great app for students. It is fairly simple, and could use the addition of some features, but overall, it is the best freeware homework app that I have used. The hilight of this app is its developer. I had a quirky problem with the software, so I emailed the developer. He was extremely responsive, and was able to fix my problems. When I sent the first email asking for help, I recieved a reply in fifteen minutes, a rarity for software support. All subsequent email (About 5 or 6) were answered with the same speed. Some features I would like to see are: Widget Improvements, Color coded assignments based on whether they are due tomorrow due today, late or another type. Other welcome additions would be A button to send the assignments as a note to your iPod, An imporved way to add and edit courses, and an option to hide assignments when they are marked as completed. Overall, a very nice app, with a great, responsive developer who is constantly adding features to his software.
Probably the best looking freeware app i've used and you'll be overwhelmed with the features it offers (at least I was). Far as I know, nothing else free or that costs money is as good.
Which is better, this or Schoolhouse?

As the developer, I'm obviously a bit biased, but I'd suggest you just try both and see which one works better for you. Task List does have the advantage of being open source, so if you're handy with code, you can enhance or modify it as you wish.
Tasklist seems to be pretty good, but I find it hard to organise my classes a little, as my school works on a 6 day cycle. So maybe a bit more flexibility in crating classes would be nice?
This application seems really handy, but a feature that I'd really like, is the able to specify grade ranges yourself. For example, in Norway, we use a scale from 1 to 6. Being able to enter these, and have it calculate averages and stuff based on those numbers, would be absolutely fantastic.
The website says that this is no longer under development, and that we should try Schoolhouse, which is also no longer being developed. (http://idisk.mac.com/gonfunko/Public/tasklist.html)
Does anyone have any suggestions for a good replacement, or is Assignment Planner the last good app?
flynntargart, you are totally wrong.
BTW there is a SH3 coming hopefully by December or a little later.

Great app. I got it from MacHeist, and it far surpasses the other apps I have tried (which include Task List, Schoolhouse, and iProcrastinate). It has by far the best interface of any of the previously mentioned apps, and it includes a great widget, which works way better than Task List's widget. Assignment Planner has several clever featured that competitors don't, such as custom fields, a textbook list, and the ability to add recurring items. Although I got it for free, this app is well worth the $5 extra cost over its free competitors. Download the trial, and you will be hooked.
