I saw a reccomendation on this app and thought I would give it a try. In the middle of working on a new blog post, the damn thing crashed on me. Lost the entire entry. Major suckage. I'm going back to other tools.

I use ecto to manage half a dozen different sites (all Wordpress driven), and it works beautifully. The only problems I've ever had were related to timing out when sending a post with several images as thumbnails, but creating a new entry quickly solved that issue.
Highly recommended!

Don't like it. I have it registered, but I don't use it anymore. I have switched to TextMate with its lovely blogging bundle. Ecto's html editor is a crap. No chance to embed things like JS or stuff. Don't register, guys!

i used this for some time, then switched to MarsEdit. people that are not satisfied with ecto should look into that.

Best comic reader I've found. But its window management is really odd. Dragging the image window around on my main display is jerky and unpredictable, and forget about using it on my second (larger) display. Bummer.

Comic reader? This is the best and fastest image viewer for the Mac! No nonsense.

It's really nice, but the UI is a bit confusing sometimes. The most irritating thing about it is the fact that sometimes it won't refresh the display when I move to a new page. They claimed to have fixed this bug, but I still encounter it.

Now I just uncompress the .cbz or .cbr files and use PicturePopPro to view them. It's more limited, but it works.

Very nice, purpose-built comic reader. I blazed through all 75 issues of Sandman with it!

The hotkey editor is much appreciated- I have it set up so I can use the mouse as a kind of uber-lazy one button paging remote.

Definitely the best comic reader on the Mac (and i've tried a few).

Very good to view photos too:
- can start in full screen without opening normal window first (unlike JustLooking for example. Note: this is a hidden option, see help file)
- can zoom to fit width (or fit whole photo)
- has shortcut to delete photo while viewing full screen.

Unfortunately, it doesn't have nice fading transitions between photos, maybe it'll come some day.

Note: if you want your images to be smoothly zoomed or fit to the screen, be sure to check the antialiasing option. (Found in 'Options' menu, not in 'Preferences'.)
If you don't, you'll get a quite ugly 'stairs' effect when not zoomed at 100%.

(Looks like linear interpolation vs. cubic interpolation, more information on this subject, comparing Mac OS X vs. Windows XP here (in French).)

Another nice hidden option (see help file):
To have the image list cleared before new files are opened:
defaults write com.feedface.ffview udn_clear_list_before "1"

1 2 next

Page 1 of 2. 21 entries.
