daijdjan:

You have no clue what you're talking about. SVN is backwards compatible. SVN 1.5 clients will work fine with 1.4 servers, I know because I've been using an SVN 1.5 client at work. You just won't be able to use the new merge tracking feature, and probably a couple other new features.

And titaniumdecoy: you're right, Versions isn't the only GUI based SVN app for Mac, but it is by far the most intuitive as far as the user interface. The rest are garbage.

I love this and use it since the first public beta in productive enviroments. It's not the first but the best.

This app is brilliant, definitely worth the price!! I've gotten killer results from this thing compared to other HDR apps such as Hydra. Bracketeer also does auto-aligning which enfuse cannot do on its own.

Absolutely worth the $30 for any hobbyist (or above) photographers.

I tried this and didn't like the results. I really did give it a chance and tried multiple merge settings, nothing appealed to me.

Give Bracketeer a shot, it's totally free (it's a GUI frontend for the freeware app "enfuse"). Bracketeer is half the price of Hydra and puts out far more impressive results!

I tried the demo, can't really say if I like it or not because it didn't work for me (PB G4).

When I tried to render the result, a totally distorted image came up. Tried 3 different image sets.

No go for me, I wil try the feeware.

Ehhh it's ok. I mean, for free, it's good. But:

- Non-conforming with Apple standards (can't delete a license by hitting delete or cmd-delete; have to use the menu?!)
- Can't drag/drop apps
- Can't drag/drop images to specify the app's icon

Just doesn't quite have a Mac application feel to it, as far as the UI goes.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
It's got issues, and support is nowhere to be found. I emailed them on 4/25/08 about burning bootable ISOs to disc, and then they won't boot. No response. I wrote again on 5/5/08 to prompt them to please respond. Nothing.

Not worth the $20, really.

NX blows VNC out of the water. It renders graphics from the remote computer VERY quickly, plus it runs over ssh directly, no tunnels needed!

By the way, NX server for Mac OS is coming soon! Can't wait.

Well, I bought it. Most anti-climactic install ever. ;) But it's supposed to be. You shouldn't be able to tell it's running, and there's really no sign of its existence, unless you know what to look for.

It's the one app I hope I never have to use!

Wow! I'm surprised more people don't use this and haven't commented on it. It's really a great app, and for the price, it blows the Omni stuff out of the water. I use it to take notes at meetings with my clients, diagram out story/plot lines, etc. It's a slick piece of software.

This is a great app! My main use to date has been to build tutorials for myself when I'm learning new things. For example, I spent a lot of time using Eclipse to learn JSPs and other J2EE technologies with JBoss. Getting all the versions of the various tools and examples to mesh is a challenge, so I make notes, clip URLs, and save screenshots and output logs in Curio so I can remember how to get things working.

My opinion: skip this. i didn't care for it, and it had trouble with some FLV files. The Perian plugin for QuickTime is much better.

This blows Remote Desktop away, even the new 2.0 beta 2. Here's why:

CoRD supports mousewheel.
CoRD allows alt-tabbing.
CoRD has a nicer interface.

Really looking forward to future versions.

You can only add a single file to a .7z archive with this program?? I tried dragging multiple files to the 7zX icon, it 7-zips them up individually. What's the use of that? I've used 7-zip on other OS's, you can add several files just like a ZIP archive. What am I missing?

Version 1.7.1 makes a copy of the source file before compressing, therefore requiring up to twice the size of the source file to be free on the destination drive (if compression level = store).

There was a VNC server built into Tiger too. It hasn't been improved in Leopard. Vine's VNC server blows Apple's out of the water in terms of speed. I tested both, and the Leopard VNC server is slow, nearly unusable.

Apple needs to seriously look at that for OS 10.6.

Eh, this app is hit or miss. Quite often it will say there's an update, and even after I install it, it still thinks I have the old version. That's probably the biggest issue I have with AppFresh.

You could pass on this app, you wouldn't miss out on much. In most cases you're better off just relying on each application's update checks.

Haven't updated my mac apps in quite a long time, several months at least. This was invaluable to me this evening and will continue to be so.

It launched without a hitch and updated over 90 apps, with no problems whatsoever.

Absolutely love the feature where you can chose the download link, very clever indeed!

Thank you Devs =)
