what else is needed? keychain integration. right now the only 3rd party browser for os x that fully supports keychain (that includes multiple logins on a single domain and the ability to read & create/alter keychain entries which are compatible/have been created with other applications, like safari) is camino. i have used opera on windows and linux & can attest to the fact that it is a fantastically quick and full-featured browser, but, the only thing which prevents me from using opera on my mac(s) is its lack of keychain integration/support. i cannot fathom why opera doesn't have its mac team working on this, i mean, a lot of us (including myself) have hundreds of keychain entries, and there's no way i'm going to regularly use a browser unless it can read and write keychain entries... in-fact, even an importer [from keychain to wand] of some sort, would be a good step. i'm sure a lot of people would be more apt to try opera for mac, if some sort of keychain support was added.

although xul & python based, this application is a fantastic idea which is beautifully implemented. there are a small handful of minor interface bugs, but it generally fits in nicely with the look, feel & function(s) of os x and overall, miro is pretty damn stable & quick. i mostly use it as a conduit for educational and news related videos/video feeds, but its built-in guide/browser offers one many different types of content as well... and if you can't find it in there, you can always add external feeds to your channel list as well.

i switched over to miro from joost after their builds started getting hefty unstable and the joost team announced their intention to switch over to a flash/browser-based interface. i don't regret this one bit at all though. after all, joost was not an os x "native" program either. plus, knowing that i am using a community developed, open-source application which supports a much wider array of codecs, including of-course, open-source formats, (not to mention its integrated library feature, which allows one to access local videos sitting on their hard-drive as well) makes me feel "that much better".

i would not hesitate to recommend this program to anyone interested, and am looking forward to seeing it undergo further development.

Yeah, maybe "New York Times Reader" would be a better name for the listing.

i found an amazingly comprehensive collection of TextWrangler scripts geared towards web development (mostly dealing with css, html & xhtml), here:
http://vormplus.info/rmatica/
there are so many scripts included that it sometimes "overloads" the menu, so you may have to reorganize the scripts folder a little bit after dropping this in there, but otherwise i have found them to be extremely useful.

paulw is correct. but for those who do not care for or need the new features and price-tag of version 2.0.0, i have taken the liberty of uploading the last freeware version (1.7.3) to badongo. you can retrieve this version from here: http://www.badongo.com/file/9746959

oops, only "sort-of"... :/

Yes, that's true (sort of :) ) ... DomainBrain is free for use with up to four domains. For five or more, you need to purchase a license for $14. I'm the developer, but I didn't create this listing. I've requested that it be transfered to me, and once that happens I'll change the designation to shareware.

I added DomainBrain to the site, but wasn't sure if it was really, really shareware given that it's "sort of" free. Love the app, I can transfer ownership of the listing to you -- not sure how, though. It also appears that I'm unable to modify the entry, so I can't change the license to shareware.

Thanks for adding it ncho, and for the kind words - I appreciate it! I can understand the uncertainty as to whether to mark it as freeware or shareware - if you only need four or fewer, then for all intents and purposes it is free. But the fact that there is that one restriction does make me lean more towards thinking shareware is a better designation.

I'm not sure how to transfer the app or change the designation unfortunately. I'll try to contact an admin later for help.

this is a very handy program to have around for anyone who regularly encodes or transcodes video or audio. for instance, amongst many other potential uses, if i am working with avidemux and specifying the target size for a video i am transcoding to xvid, i can use this program to find out exactly how large the video and audio streams are, respectively, thereby enabling me to specify an exact & proper target size for the video stream and a proper encoding scheme for the audio stream to reach the target size without compromising too much on quality. kudos do the developer.

p.s. i submitted an icon for this application a while back, someone should put it up.

i just started getting the hang of this and although there is a steep learning curve if one has never used a full-fledged tracker before, i must say that this one is quite capable. highly recommended over all the other cross-platform trackers.

shiste, with this release, pretty much every bug i have seen is fixed. this "uninstaller" is now perfect. functional, thorough & visually appealing... bravo! feature-wise it's like a combination of uApp & AppTrap (because of the optional smart delete feature). brilliant work.

Very questionable usability. Dragging apps onto the "uninstall" area works like a breeze, but clicking to "Applications" or "Widgets" is a confusing experience. One can select a bunch of things to delete, but then there's no obvious "uninstall" button, except for the one in the toolbar which switches to the Uninstall pane and loses the current selection.

It would be much clearer if the "Search" button at bottom was instead labeled "Uninstall selected" or something similar.
