kroc +1 please lets not start filling iusethis with extensions, widgets, gadgets, badgers and the like...
mozilla has an excellent site for extensions.
kroc & nontroppo :
I agree with you, that it could potentially hurt the quality of this site, if people listed all of the little plugins and extensions for programs, for the sole purpose of simply showing them all...
But (!) thing is, I don't think they will. On the contrary, I think the purpose of iusethis should be to let the users give hints of just the best of the best, among the apps that they use. I mean, just because there are a tenfold or more Safari plugins, I for one, am not very tempted in posting about them all in here.
Speaking of which (Safari plugins for instance): where do you draw the line? Should eg. Safari plugins not be considered legitimate? In that case, how fair would it be to rule out super products like Saft, for instance? See where I'm getting at?
With all due respect, I think that people should continue to give hints about the software they love to use. And as far as listing products that are listed on other places... just look at MacUpdate; for all I know, they list about 98% of the apps on iusethis - the major difference being, how and for what purpose do they list the apps?
Sites such as Dashboardwidgets.com, Mozilla, etc. focus on listing everything, whereas iusethis is more organic, or should I say, down to the point, where you can more or less easily target the apps' degree of quality, judging by their popularity in terms of people using them.
Anywho, that's just my take on this. In the end, it's probably up to Arne & Marcus to decide how they want the site to work. :)
roeme: just use PithHelmet.
Much better than AdBlock since it doesn't require any configuration or action to block ads.
Just works, havn't seen an ad in years.

Great for running AROS. There is a beta Intel kernel-extension to allow running Windows at native speed, dig through the site/forum to find it.
This is an awesome app for what it does---there are, after all, limitations to emulators. If only I had an Intel Mac I might've actually found a use for this beautiful app...
Runs WordPerfect on Windows 98 on an iMac G5 usably. What else do you need?
one of the best emulator

I have to second the attach files statement. I've been using an OmniOutliner file to keep my licences because I can attach licence files to it easily.
Yeah, file attachment support is a must.
It also doesn't support multiline keys.
I use Process for serial numbers. You can attach files (like Stuntsoftware keys or pdf receipts) and web addresses (WebKit). There are lots of these all-purpose info storing apps that are versatile enough for this job.
I can deeply recommend the program Safe Place - http://osx.iusethis.com/app/safeplace
I bought it some year(s) ago and it's always been great. You can also enter your own fields in Safe place.
@ajbis: can you post a link for that? I can't find it anywhere (the name causes hundreds of totally dissimilar things to come up first).
Beyond the ability to attach licence files and the possibility to choose folders (and not only single applications), there's another thing missing in the current version: some kind of encryption.
Nevertheless, this is already a great piece of software. (And let's not forget that it is free!) But it could be even better with a few add-ons.
It also needs a way to add non-Applications... for example, I want to keep my Windows activation code here.
on groxx's request. http://osx.iusethis.com/app/process or http://www.jumsoft.com/process/
No it isn't a 'serial' storer as such, but one of those general purpose info storing apps. I've mentioned it here because a) it's what I use for my serials and b) others have made comments about needing to attach files associated with their apps.

Works exactly as advertised: great
Clearly, I can see the geek potential in this thing.
But I'm curious to know, when do one prefer to view webpages in text-only during these days, of CSS-themery feber and whatnot? :) Appreciating some enlightment.
I always view my sites in this to make sure they'll make sense when CSS, images, and Javascript are negated, as this is similar to how it will appear to screen readers and search engines and the like. It's kinda a worst-case scenario simulator.
Page 1 of 4. 80 entries.

With all respect, this is a Firefox addon and doesn't belong on this site. Otherwise people could fill the database with the other thousands of Firefox add ons available, and Mozilla already has a site listing them.
