Here's a german screencast on SnippetMonkey
Just thought I'd mention, the persistent shortcuts issue has been fixed.

Comment and replies on TabStop:
If you like TabStop why don't give ForgetMeNot a try. It doesn't warn you, but it restores all open Safari tabs and windows when you restart Safari. Additionally it lets you unclose Tabs...
I did try ForgetMeNot and I didn't like how it always reopened my previous tabs. Unclosing tabs is cool, but I'd rather just not close them in the first place... which is why I wrote TabStop.
But it's worth noting that I've had several people tell me that they use both TabStop and ForgetMeNot at the same time. If you need a ridiculous amount of accidental tab-closing protection, that'd be the way to go.
Ugh, so many times I've mistakenly pressed apple + Q rather than apple + W. No more! This app is wonderful
Comment and replies on AppFresh:
@skitz when I ran it for the first time it crashed after finding 101 apps. When I restarted it everything worked fine. So just give it another try ;)
Worked for me! I have much more than 100 applications and AppFresh did never crash.
But there are still a few glitches....
I have Tag (v. 0.4.1), the metadata editor for Ogg Vorbis and other audio formats, and AppFresh "found" a version 1.2.2. It was mistaken with the other Tag, the XHTML editor.
And somehow it was able to "find" a version 0.8.6 of VLC, while I have the correct latest version (v. 0.8.6a).
And it also "found" a version 0.6.1 of Pathway, while the developer's website says the latest one is 0.6.
And it doesn't include, for example, AppDelete or Free Ruler.
But, nevertheless, this is already a very promising application.
Hmm, crashes for me just after it finds 1 prefpane and 83 apps... I wonder if a certain app/prefpane/whatever is causing problems with it?
This app looks interesting. Unfortunately, however, it is incompatible with Saft for Safari. The InputManager installed by AppFresh breaks some of Saft's functionality.
BTW: What exactly does that InputManager do? What's it needed for?
How exactly does it break Saft? Thats certainly not wanted...If you have any further infos please mail to appfresh metaquark de. Support for Updating Input Managers is currently in work and will be included in the next preview.
We are using the IM to replace Apple Software Update when automatically scanning for updates and to start AppFresh when accessing SU from Apple Menu. Another reason for using the IM is to extend the standard SU pref pane for some additional settings.
Thanks for the clarification, xcanuckx. E-Mail sent.
It'd be really cool, but it crashes like crazy.
Crahses at the startup. Very nice application: open it, see it crashing, go do something else ;-)
We'll be releasing a new version today or tomorrow. The crash on startup is caused by none valid Info.plist of some applications. The new version of AppFresh will be much more robust on this issue. Stay tuned!
I've also removed this because of the crashing, and then noticed the incompatibility with Saft and had to reinstall that.
New version is online. AppFresh should not crash when scanning none standard Info.plist files. Another important change was disabling the Input Manager. It will be disabled and removed on next startup so you do not need to do anything. For more changes check out the blog.
Unfortunately. I am still getting constant crashes to the point where it is unusable. I think this is an awesome idea and hope to be able to use it soon with the new update.
Can you send me your crash reports. there seems to be one bug open, that causes most reported crashes. Will fix this as soon as possible.
Several problems with the app right now. 1) It does seem to crash somewhat randomly, 2) feedback seems a little.. random. Sometimes I get dialogs telling me what it's doing (downloading updates, etc), sometimes it's just the main app screen with no indication anything is going on - except it unresponsive to clicks, etc.
But... it is so damn useful that I'll put up with those hassles as long as it doesn't screw up my system. The current method of queuing the apps for user-controlled installs is a really good idea until things are stable.
I'll keep this one installed and use it intermittently while it gets stronger.
A great tool in its early stages. Thanks for developing this!
