I love this widget. It does the UI so totally right.
To lycus: It can track multiple shipments -- just use multiple copies. Apple has explicitly stated that this is how widgets are supposed to work.
Delivery Status is what other widgets wish they could be—convenient, elegant and beautiful.
Comment and replies on Vine Server:
Now that Leopard includes a decent VNC server, I've stopped using this one.
I can't connect to Leopard server from anything on Tiger, and Apple's Remote Desktop server is sloooow, so I'm still using Vine Server.
There was a VNC server built into Tiger too. It hasn't been improved in Leopard. Vine's VNC server blows Apple's out of the water in terms of speed. I tested both, and the Leopard VNC server is slow, nearly unusable.
Apple needs to seriously look at that for OS 10.6.
Comment and replies on Remote Desktop Connection:
Personally, I like this app. But there are alternatives now...I'm giving CoRD a try.
No longer using it, switched over to Cord, which is quite an improvement to Microsofts Client.
This is a huge improvement over version 1.0.
Biggest improvements are seamless mouse movements, and the ability to have multiple connections at the same time (with proper support for default preferences).
Just a few issues, mostly small ones.
On the Mac I use Appfresh to look for the most current programs, howerver, this program fails. The Version in the "get info" reports an older program.
Please correctr.
Also the link in the app to provide feedback is broken
Did you notice version 2.0 is around?
Works well enough, but in a typical bone-headed microsoft move you aren't able to save your preferences, so if, like me, you use preferences that aren't default, you have to change them each time you run the app - starting to get on my nerves
I was glad to see Microsoft released a version 2.0 of this application that was a Universal Binary, it was a big improvement over the older PPC only version, but still felt a little less thought-through then other application.
After the beta timed out a nagging message would pop-up everytime you start the application. When you do this 10 - 15 times a day it's very annoying and Microsoft didn't have a new version ready nor did they indicate they would anytime soon.
I ended up trying CoRD again. I had tried it in the past and found it worse then RDC 1.03, but now, wow, what an improvement! It seems to have some problems with the clipboard between the Mac and PC, but multiple sessions and all in one window instead of separate windows, how nice.
I am no longer using this application, I've un-installed it and totally switched over to CoRD.
Comment and replies on Limewire:
No longer using much; have switched to FrostWire.
@ ewkb.....are you some kind of moron? On day release? Carers taken the day off so you thought you'd "Play on da kewl kompootah fingy"?
FYI Limewire is not Illegal....nor is it an "ill eagle".
....and this is mac not windows - unlikely to "bug" my computer then ![]()

I look forward to a usable Mac TortoiseSVN clone. Unfortunately, it doesn't work very well yet. Still using svnX.
Yeah, I really wish this project would get some progress. Mac OS X really needs a decent subversion client. svnX is a terrible ui.
What I need.. right click on a file... get version history. Diff 2 versions. Its sad to have to open up parallels to do this...
Diffly is really great for diffing the working copy. Just need my other use case (diffing 2 arbitrary revisions of a file) and I'll be happy.
Hurray! Version 0.7 is awesome. Finally, a decent subversion client for mac that is SIMPLE.
Try this out today if you need to use SVN on a mac.
Comment and replies on GraphicConverter:
I don't know why everyone is comparing this app to Photoshop: while it has some image-editing features, they're quite limited because that's not its primary focus. Rather, it's primarily an image converter, and it excels at that task. If you want an image editor, use Photoshop or the GIMP.

I have just about abandoned TextWrangler and Eclipse in favor of jEdit (see http://marnen.livejournal.com/23723.html for more info). This program rocks!
