It' so cooool~!!
My 'Path Finder' is in trash now..:)
Amazon S3 support rules (it is the cheapest backup service available).
With each release this gets closer being the ultimate file manager app.
@arglborps: It is nonsense to compare this app to NC just because it uses the dual pane paradigm.
Finally a two pane file manager that does not seam like an alien on a Mac.
No way is Amazon S3 the cheapest backup service available -- Mozy.com has got to be the cheapest at $5 a month for unlimited storage and bandwidth. (That said, Mozy's performance is probably nowhere near Amazon's -- S3 is designed as a transactional file system where the data is going in and out constantly, whereas Mozy is meant as a file storage repository). But still... :-)
Currently this has replaced Cyberduck as my sftp client just b/c it has the ability to edit files using whatever program you prefer, however once it goes for cash I'll be trashing it...
this one is awesome. i never used all that commander crap on windows and other OS, this is the first time i really felt in love with an app like that. great work!
This has to be the best application I have seen this year. It completely replaces no less than three applications that I previously used daily: PathFinder (which had been getting a bit top-heavy recently); Transmit (the FTP in Forklift supports SFTP, like Transmit, but is actually much more intuitive and easy to use); and AppZapper (you can delete applications safely from inside the panel).
It's damn quick too...
some suggestions
1.overwrite promotion: need file info compare
2.Folder content not auto-refreshing
3.space bar to mark selections, to easily select multiple files
4.trial expired...
Installed trial, moved just a few files around my HDD and to FTP and instantly knew I had to have it.
Just taken them up on the 47% off deal with only 6 hours remaining. I must say it feels like I just found £10 on the floor and bought a gold watch with it. Can't wait for this to get better and better - as long as it doesn't get 'top heavy' like pathfinder as I quite agree with astorgs comment
If you could synchronize panes between a remote and local connection (like in Trasmit), then this would probably cause me to buy this software and ditch Transmit and Path Finder.
Its a fantastic application.
But would the devs please, PLLLEAAAASE THINK ABOUT USING AN OTHER PAYMENT METHOD so you don't have to register a CRAPPY PAYPAL account for getting a license of this wonderful app?!
Thanks...
I would use this instead of Transmit if a Textmate bundle existed for it. Having one key command in Textmate to upload a file via Transmit is invaluable to me.
I think Transmits GUI is much smoother and efficient.
I've been using ForkLift since it was first in beta. Has been the only file manager that I've actually paid for. That said, the UI was always a bit of a mess (although functional). The new beta, however, is amazing. The UI is as beautiful as it is functional, Leopard frameworks are being harnessed (QuickLook in ForkLift was just what I needed) and it's just showing more and more promise as time goes on. ForkLift is definitely a worthy file manager.
To me, as silly as it may sound, an application's icon is everything. That's why I'd like to say, I think the original icon was really much more beautiful. This one looks too dark and somewhat weird.
the best finder-replacement imo
Depending on the task at hand I am using ForkLift more and more but it still lacks the punch of my FTP app of choice, Yummy, for critical tasks. Looking forward to seeing how this one develops.

What's the difference with DEVONthink?
The only difference I've found is the option to keep original format.
In DEVONthink, all text files change into RTF file, even Word file or Nisus file. Is there anything else?

You don't even need this application.
If you want to take a picture with iSight, you can just use "photoBooth".
If you want to record a motion picture with iSight, you can do that with "QuickTime".
