Adobe Reader 8.x squases fonts of about 90% of the PDFs I tested, no matter whether they were created with Distiller, Quartz or OpenOffice. Also, font antialiasing seems borked for most fonts. The same applies to the Windows installations I tried out, so it seems to be an issue with the font render engine in Adobe Reader in general.

I definitely hope those issues will be addressed in the next version of Adobe Reader. Most of my contacts use it, and I don’t feel like explaining to them that the product sheet I just sent them doesn’t look shitty, it’s Adobe Reader.

Adobe Reader 7.x rendered those PDFs fine, I should mention.

I really hate Adobe Reader. It looks like starting a complete Final Cut Studio when opening an PDF with Adobe Reader. It is simple horrible! I Love Preview I really love it. Also I did find a solution for missing fonts which is to dowload them or grab from my windows installation (Parallels, sorry I HAVE TO use it in my office) and there is a lot of instructions how to make them available for every App.
So far, I love my Mac!

I gave OmniWeb 5.5 a swirl a couple of days ago to have a look at a more feature-rich browser than the Safari 3 beta. First, I was sceptical, especially considering it actually costs money (gasp)! At first, I thought it was like Safari just with preview tabs. Then, I found the individual site preferences, encountered workspaces, understood the search terms system and grasped the concept behind the adblocker.

Hence I switched for good. Great deal for $15, and I am pretty sure 5.6 will be even better. I like to support Mac devs, and OmniWeb definitely deserves some recognition (and yes, gasp, money).

Wonderful piece of software. Considering how much its grown on me recently, I'll likely be buying it soon. Its the only thing thats managed to pull me away from Opera in all the years I've been using it (on OSX at least).

Once they add resurrecting of closed tabs, better ordering or tabs (switching back to last viewed when closing), and just some general bugfixes, I'll be sold.

Crashed a lot for me when I tried it -- more than once a day. As someone who does professoinal software development (most of it being for the Web), and who goes to school online, that's just unacceptable, sorry.

Sent many crash reports to Omni and never heard a word back from them.

I've so far found the 5.7 beta very stable. It my primary browser and it gets heavy use (developer in a busy digital agency). The main gripe with any WebKit browser is usually memory use, 5.7 uses a lot less (though still more than your average mozilla browser).

Okay, charts are in in the current beta. Nice! :)

My advise to the author: use OpenDocument as the main format. While I don't mind paying something that loads in a second (as opposed to NeoOffice which takes like a minute on my MBPro) am not going back to proprietary formats.

Suggestion: Take out the "iwork" tag. This program is not affiliated with iWork in any way. Leaving the tag would only confuse newcomers.

Great application, even if it’s not universal now. Funny enough, it’s still tons faster than iPhoto on my MacBook Pro. I especially like the batch functions, very handy indeed. I’m looking forward to the universal version of PA.

I’ve been using iGTD for some time now, and it is by far the best GTD application I’ve given a swirl. Fast, easy to use, to the point, not overloaded with features I don’t need anyway. Works very well in conjunction with Journeler (for resource keeping), too!

I really dig this app, but the latest version (1.4.3.2) corrupted my task database...! Proceed with caution until I get confirmation that this is fixed!

This is a great app. I've only been using it a few days now but so far I'm very impressed. The forums for the application are a great place to help evolve the program and get support.

I created a replacement toolbar icons set based on Matt Ball's DevIcons. You can find/download the set here:

I really want to like this app, but these garish yellow icons are a big turnoff. Also as far as I understand this app is still in beta and likes to trash its database when it changes versions ? I may be wrong, but for the time being I´ll stick with Actiontastic.

I would be happy if someone could enlighten me a little bit. Maybe this is a silly question (if so, please excuse me), but I have been wondering what the concept behind the Inbox in iGTD really is.

When I click on it, I'm directly going to the section. Does this actually mean there is no Inbox, per se?

I love iGTD and I also bought the book by David Allen (trying to plow my eyes through it), and I wouldn't be surprised if my wonderings about the Inbox in iGTD are pretty dumb. :) (Again, sorry for taking your time, but I didn't want to bother the developer about it.)

On a further note, I don't seem to be able to add tasks from within the section, which puzzled me for a bit. Maybe what's confusing me, is that the Inbox button doesn't get highlighted when clicked on?

When I uses iGTD it totally trashed itself as soon as I turned on .MAC syncing. There is no way I would use this app on a daily basis after that fiasco. I now use Easytask Manager with no problems so far.

I use it daily and have come to depend on it, but the syncing was severely broken the last time I tried it. "Once bitten, twice shy," so I haven't tried it again since.

Other than that it's a great piece of software. Much better than Kinkless GTD.

iGTD does offer a lot of features - but is this app ugly as hell or what? Living on OS X for so long, I just got accustomed to nice and polished user interfaces. Sadly, iGTD is far away from that... Maybe they should take a look at Things (http://culturedcode.com/things/) to see how it's done.
