How did it take me so long to discover this incredible app? Xyle Scope is invaluable for anyone who works with CSS and is one of these few, special gems that really deserve to be given the much-abused "must have" label.

Got this as part of a promo bundle and am quite happy with it but wouldn't have paid full price for it.

Depending on the task at hand I am using ForkLift more and more but it still lacks the punch of my FTP app of choice, Yummy, for critical tasks. Looking forward to seeing how this one develops.

The new version is excellent, although it took a few uses for me to get used to the changes from version 2.5.3!

Just a quick note regarding tracks missing the required "iTunNORM" tag. If iVolume tells you the tag is missing, the easiest way to get iTunes to write it is to simply delete the tracks from within iTunes, being sure to tell it to move the files to the trash. Now go to the trash, drag out the deleted files and re-import them into iTunes by double-clicking. Much easier than the solution on the iVolume webpage!

(For the above to work, it might be necessary to have the "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" option selected under advanced preferences. I have and haven't tried it without.)

Still pull this out for a game now and again but I wish they would make it Intel native.

Just to update you all on the reply I received from Mike Lary at Inventive. To be fair, the response was immediate but it was less than helpful, simply telling me that iClip was Leopard compatible and asking why I thought it wasn't. I replied listing four problems I experienced running the iClip app and iClip widget under Leopard. That was a week ago and Mr. Lary has not got back to me.

I can only assume that, as many users have said elsewhere, Inventive have no interest in maintaining iClip or supporting existing customers who paid out good money for it.

Bottom line - stay away from iClip and Inventive!

I have been an OmniFocus user since the beta days and cannot praise it highly enough. When I first tried Things (back when it was by invitation only) it certainly looked better but was, for me, too simplistic and lacked too many features I needed.

Recently I had another look at Things, which is now much more complete. I imported my most important data from OmniFocus and started using the two in tandem (better safe than sorry!) because I found that the flexibility offered by Things (especially the famous "magical tag bar") required a different approach. Having spent time getting to know the app and tweaking my tags, I now have Things tailored to my liking and much prefer its clean visual style, which I find combines perfectly with the many features that have been added during development and simplifies the task of collecting, sorting and acting on everything I need to do.

During the last few days I have been using Things exclusively and I think it is fair to say that it has become my "trusted system" for GTD. It is true that OmniFocus still offers some more features but Things wins in appearance and ease of use and certainly meets my needs. Furthermore, having seen the way that Cultured Code have developed Things up to now, I am sure that it will only keep getting better.

Such a great program. I use it daily. ONE THING though is it replaces links I paste into the Notes field of a next action with weird XML characters and Chinese/Japanese characters. I'm guessing it has something to do with escaped characters in the code, but it's quite annoying when I change computers and find that my links don't work. Other than that, great app and I plan to buy it when it gets to 1.0.

I've been using OmniFocus since the sneaky peeks and have passed from feeling somewhat underwhelmed by the earliest releases to being very impressed by the (constantly updating) latest builds. Although it is still pre-release, OmniFocus is now my "trusted system" thanks primarily to its comprehensive features. Furthermore, it is intuitive to use and reliably does everything a GTD system should. This is no simple to-do list!

I am keeping an eye on Things to see how it evolves but at present it still falls short of OmniFocus, whose comprehensive features, repeating actions and syncing to iCal (and hence my Palm for when I am on the go) combined with the current half-price offer swung the deal to convert my interest into a sale for the Omni Group. If the developer's past history of updating and improving their software is anything to go by, I honestly think that other apps will have their work cut out to surpass OmniFocus. Roll on the competition and consumer choice!

I've been using Omnifocus for the whole pre-release phase, and I'm glad I did. It's probably the best GTD software out there. If you are a strict GTD applier (or not) and you want to be able to play around with your work, this apps give you the possiblity to do it.

I need to be in control of the list of tasks that I need to do. If it takes me too much time to find it out, I'd rather do it on paper. Omnifocus does give me that kind of control, which is the reason I've bought the product and I'm happy with it.

Been using OmniFocus for about 2 month and I'm done with it. Annoying as hell app. Never defaults to the view that I was in previously. Perspectives is a a confusing mess. No changing font sizes.

The only good part was the quick entry. But why is there no associated quick view? Just tell me whats up next, with a system wide shortcut.

I dunno... maybe 2.0 will bring me back. But using omnifocus for GTD is much much more trouble than its worth.

I didn't find Omnifocus to be compelling software. I use a mac at work and home, and have an iphone, and OF does not support my needs. It's a little slow and database-y. During the long beta, it seemed like there were too many design issues surfacing. I'm using Remember the Milk now.

I had been looking for an app to allow me juggle my different projects and get some time back for life balance.
I have switched to OF after trying kinkless and iGTD and found it to be the best GTD implementation so far, if a bit overloaded with features. Works very stable, syncs nicely with different iCal calendars. Handles contexts and gives you the ability to map roles to folders.
Very handy app, though not cheap.

Omnifocus has changed my life. Well GTD has. Omnifocus is worth the effort, but you need to know about GTD. I loved midnight beep's Inbox, as it was curiously different, and an attractive looking app. However Omnifocus allows me to sync with 2 macs, and my iphone which actually is useful, not just a gimmick.

Omnifocus is simplicity, doesn't crash, very reliable (unlike bloody MS Office 2008.....don't go there...),

I think the whole problem with GTD apps is that you need to embrace GTD, before an app that supports it is of any use to you.

Fantastic - small, efficient and filled with features. If you listen to internet radio, you really should check this out.

FStream is simply amazing. Not only is it tiny and elegant, but it's just about the only OS X player which can do Ogg Vorbis streams properly.

And it does AAC live strreams as well!!!

Pity, Growl stuff doesn't work for me, in this version of FStream (Growl, in other applications work properly, and I have been troubleshooting my Growl settings for FStream as well).

hbokh asked "Can this freeware utility compete with AppZapper completely?"

In a word, easily! Although AppCleaner doesn't always find everything associated with an app, neither does AppZapper, despite all the hype that surrounds it!

At the moment, the freeware AppDelete consistently outperforms both and despite its lack of a flashy user interface is well worth a look. Hopefully development will continue with AppCleaner so that its performance improves to match that of AppDelete.
