Comment and replies on iLeopard:
for me this is the first usable leopard-theme available!
i recommend it for everyone who doesn't like leopard's "glossy" default style
no flaws for me .. well in some apps th gray of the background doesnt match the gray around the buttons.. but thats not often
Flawless, except the traffic lights look pixely sometimes.
Comment and replies on Transmission:
great torrent-client. the only client that is better is utorrent for windows
Now with preliminary Proxy-to-tracker support (does NOT use proxy for peer-to-peer communication, only to tracker) in nightly builds (as of 1.22+) (http, SOCKS4, and SOCKS5 support).
Also, there is now a blocklist in the shipping builds (but it must be updated manually).
Transmission just keeps getting better.
Awesome. The best BitTorrent application for the Mac by far.
Hard to believe it's a cross-platform app.
Still missing DHT... DHT = faster downloads. Sometimes I prefer to use uTorrent on CrossOver :)

good app but crashes quite often
Comment and replies on AppDelete:
i stopped using this app when it asked me to pay 5$ for further use...
Agreed, since the "donation" demands stopped it working I'm no longer using this. Though if you use your smarts the previous version is pretty easy to find.
Otherwise: http://osx.iusethis.com/app/appcleaner is free, and does the same job.
It's interesting how some people are willing to spend $5 on something they're going to pour down their throat in less time than it will take me to finish this sentence, but they refuse to pay for good software that took untold hours to write and will save you invaluable system resources.
I compared this to AppCleaner and although it's not as user friendly it does a better job for what it's meant. For some applications it was finding MORE associations. So think about that the next time you scarf down $5 worth of coffee.
I want to note that I just paid the $5 for this app, because it's a great one, and is worth $5 to me.
However (as it is currently labeled) it is NOT freeware and should NOT be labeled as such. It is 'shareware' at best, but I would call it '$5 + demo'.
I just used AppDelete to remove AppCleaner from my computer.
AppDelete suddenly held up the tip jar after a few uses, and announced to me that it has turned shareware for this latest version. I don't have anything against the principles of paid software. I DO however find the way in which the software communicated this information rude and distasteful. The information should have been shown when I was about to update the software, not when I'm about to use it.
Hi from Reggie the Developer for AppDelete! :-)
I want to thank all of you for your posts and I do apologize for any confusion regarding the "free" label for AppDelete 2.0. I am currently waiting for this site to update the listed info and I expect it will be done soon. As for the switch over to AppDelete 2.0 again I do apologize for any confusion as it was not meant to be misleading in any way. It's just simply the old version is being told a new one is available. You can read more about this on my site by clicking the Homepage link above, and please do email me from my site for any further questions. Also there is now a 2.0.1 update available for download. Thank you for you interest and for using AppDelete! :-)
Sincerely,
Reggie Ashworth
Comment and replies on StuffIt Expander:
this is one of the worst apps i've ever seen...
it's very slow, EXTREMELY hard to uninstall and has problems handling rar archieves
Nearly a decade ago, this application stood as the heavyweight in Mac compression utilities. Unfortunately, Stuffit Expander (and all related versions) has totally fallen apart over the years. It seems as though each new version becomes riddled with more bugs, bloat, and deviousness than the update before it. I've made it a point over the years to stop supporting developers who only release their applications or files using this compression method. I highly recommend anyone use any other compression type out there.
