Comment and replies on AppleJack:
This is the best maintenance app ever. I've had slowing issues, and thing being cleared that shouldn't have been with other apps, but no problems whatsoever with this one, and it lets you attempt to repair your mac before you even boot, making an un-bootable situation possibly bootable. I love AppleJack. I don't own a mac without it.
Here's a dumb question maybe, but I just thought I'd double check this:
When having, for instance, updated your Mac OS X version to a newer one, it's generally recommended that you perform a disk permissions repair afterwards (preferably even before upgrading) by e.g. booting with a system disk and run Disk Utility.
My question therefore, is, do AppleJack constitute a perfectly recommendable substitute to the method mentioned above, when repairing permissions after system upgrades, etc.? Or do you guys still stick to Disk Utility for this task?
I find it quite (a lot) more convenient, not having to fiddle around with system DVDs for repairing permissions, so - if AppleJack proves to be equally competent for this task - I think that, alone, makes it worthy of a permanent seat among my essential must-have apps.
Insanely great app. Looking forward to a Leopard-ready update.
Finally, leopard compatibility! :)

Excellent app. Should be part of every OSX install.
