FolderShare is a free alternative and works great on Macs!
I use Foldershare quite a bit - it's free and considerably quick! It has built in folder sync too to keep a back up of your current files.
I love how you can easily access your music, address book etc, and view/play it in your browser if you are not with your computer.
Could do with a little interface lift, but its a great effort.
Comment and replies on Codec Pack:
This is a great codec pack since it applies to FrontRow as well.
How does this compare to Perian?
@titaniumdecoy: This includes Perian.
Is this Universal Binary?
There are two versions: one for Intel Mac's, the other for PowerPC Mac's.
@tee_cee:
Thanks!

From the developer, on 2006-12-27:
Perian advertises itself as the “swiss knife for QuickTime components”. It’s not. I’ve had terrible experiences with it, it’s XviD and DivX support are terrible. This package included Perian, because it does play some stuff, but it also includes the native intel builds for AC3 audio/XviD Video as well as DivX, WMV, etc..

I wish it had reverse phone lookup.
It had reverse phone lookup for whitepages. Concerning yellowpages, this feature is planned :)
Truly excellent - one of the most useful widgets I've used (address book integration, google mapping...!) merci Sébastien :-)
After installing Safari 3.0 this widget stopped working. Is this happening to anybody else?
Comment and replies on JustLooking:
Preview has a very annoying way of dealing with multiple files (it ignores other images that may be in a directory unless you manually load them all). It is also annoying because it opens pdfs in a "fit view" where the text is virtually unreadable on a little macbook screen (I use PDFView to solve that problem).
Nice application indeed!
But... I have two little complaints about it:
1. The toolbar and the buttons could be smaller, to leave more free space for the pictures themselves.
2. Animated GIFs are displayed faster than they are in browsers. I tried those same animeted GIFs with Xee and they are displayed at the correct speed. JustLooking displays them always faster.
Maybe the developer could try to correct this second item in a next version of JustLooking. And please consider the possibility or reducing the size of the toolbar and buttons.
Otherwise, this application is excellent!
I agree with el_cravito's comments about the toolbar icons. Still, I've found this to be even faster than Xee with huge graphics files on my G3 iBook.
The two items that I compained about in a previous post have been solved in this new version (3.0) of JustLooking:
1. You may choose the size of the toolbar buttons in the preferences.
2. And now animated GIFs are displayed at correct speed.
It has a nice and intuitive interface. I specially like the possiblity to browse pictures with just the left and right arrow keys.
It's very fast when opening large files and the full screen mode is great.
JustLooking has just replaced Xee as my main picture viewer. (But that's, of course, a matter of personal taste.)
Great job, dear developer!
I use Just Looking to watch photos directly in full screen mode, which is nice. However, it always opens in windowed mode first, then switches to full screen.
It would be better if it started in full screen mode without any flicker... :)

Just installed this app - for those magenta (pink) haters - the colour is customizable in System Preferences.
Also, "stickied" windows pop-up automatically when using Command-Tab. Very useful app.
