this is absolutely awesome, couple it with transmission and you're set to go! No need to keep an eye on Xtorrent feeds. thanks

Thank you...thank you...thank you.

This is an elegant, simple solution to a very specific problem. You should be very proud of your efforts and I'll definetley be looking out for future releases/revisions.

I would even pay for this! ;-)

For anyone else who was wondering, it uses the TVRSS.net feed to grab the torrents.

Old eMac + TVShows + Transmission + Handbrake + VLC = Basically the cheapest Mac Media center ever. The dongle to get S-Video out for the eMac is like 5 bucks. Works like a mega-charm! I would LOVE to try this set up out on a new intel mac with Front Row. For extra cheapness/awesomeness I have been experimenting with using my Wii Remote to control the thing using DarwiinRemote, which is fun.

Dunno... it seems pretty basic. Not much info on display in the app. Will wait and see once torrents start getting downloaded as to how it actually works.

It tries to open the torrents in Opera. I dont even use Opera on my machine. Is anyone else having tis issue? I have safari as my default web browser.

@leest78: Do a Get Info on any Torrent file (command+I) and drill down the Open With section. Change it to Transmission (or your client of choice) and Change All. Should be good to go.

@lest78: You probably have Adobe CS2 or CS3 installed, Opera is used as the web rendering software in Bridge.

I love this app. I don't watch a ton of tv, which means the few shows I do watch I often end up missing episodes because my mind doesn't operate on a tv schedule the way it used to when tv ruled my life. With TVShows I've gotten back into a bunch of shows I used to like and had stopped watching, without having to worry about conflicts with my shows vs the roommate's shows or not being able to keep to the tv schedule.

If you want more information like the time of the show you must click on the TV Show, it launches the relevant TV.com page in your browser.

I can't seem to find anywhere on the site what places it supports. Is it just the states or elsewhere too?

@teradome Sofa Control 2.0 beta1 is out and has solved this admitedly annoying bug. Furthermore there are a lot of great new stuff added (like virtual mouse) and worths another try. It is an indispensable component for my Mac mini HTPC.
