Actually working with my version at the moment, even though the detect indicates it is not using webkit at all!
100/100 Acid3 result.
Comment and replies on DemeterWK:
Is a version available on the same page for Leopard but is PPC until my new Intel Mac arrives ;)
Comment and replies on Shiira:
I got fed up with the pace of development and made a version that sorts out one or two niggles - mainly bookmarking - so at least it's useable on a daily basis.
Built off the last available 2.2 source code - http://david-hall.net/vizsla
@ splutter:
I've just tried your build of Shiira 2.2.
The bookmarks now work, which is good because this was the main reason why I coulldn't use Shiira 2.x.
But, unfortunately, there are other items that must be corrected before it is usable daily:
1. I don't understand why I cannot chose the home page as the browser's opening page.
2. As most monitors now-a-days are widescreen, the page dock could be moved to one of the sides instead of being at the bottom of the page, where it steals useable space.
And... Why don't you use the official Shiira icon in your build? (I like it a lot.)
Apparently cookies are shared with Safari, so if you log on a site in Safari or Shiira, you're also logged in, in the other browser.
The full screen mode is nice... :)
(eg: to show Flickr slideshows.)
Comment and replies on iCab:
With ß53 “stand-alone WebApplications” (think Fluid) have come to iCab, along with a useful Cache Browser.
Along with the geo-detection, this is really excellent work.
Comment and replies on Mémoires:
In fact, darn-it, I'm just gonna use Mémoires as my daily note-taking tool and when I'm ready to blog anything from it - I'll simply export the entry/entries as an rtf file and paste straight into iBlog - brilliant :)
This is very nice and simple. Worth every penny.

The more I use this, the more impressed I am. Great OS integration and clever design.
Where this really scores is for blogging on .Mac - storing entries in flat files - no php. RC4 is about to land.
Comment and replies on Demeter:
Now updated to run off the Shiira 2.2 base - it's a beta - but it's a new start, with new icons.
There are a few features that do not work yet as they should, but it works much better than the current official version of Shiira.
The bookmarks are not completely implemented. There's no proper bookmark menu yet and it's still unable to import bookmarks from Safari or Firefox.
And the favicons are lost after I quit and relaunch Demeter.
The bookmarks, history and downloads panels are just gorgeous, but they still do not remember their size and position on screen every time the browser is launched.
As most monitors today are widescreen, maybe the pagedock could be moved to one of the sides, instead of stealing useable space at the bottom of the page.
There's still a lot of work to do, but Demeter is on the right tracks. Keep the good work!
Comment and replies on iPhoney:
iPhoney doesn't behave like iPhone's Safari in that (even when user agent is set to iPhone) the fixed attribute is respected, unlike iPhones. There is an iPhone bug ID# 5325294 lodged in the hope Apple will fix this.
Comment and replies on NagaraBrowser:
I started to use this when I joined a Yahoo Group and had over 16000 messages to trawl through! Set it as the desktop, so whenever I got the chance to read a batch - just activated the browser - simple and effective.
Page 1 of 5. 83 entries.

It's taken over from NagaraBrowser in my book.
For intensive reading and concentrating on a subject it's excellent, also I would like to use it for a presentation sometime - I did once using Opera - but this offers a little more sophistication in that department.
