works well for me; version 0.7 reports itself as version 0.6, however, which makes AppFresh perpetually think that the installed version is out of date

HideAllApps is a great Universal alternative.

i found this handy on PowerBook G4, but stopped using it on MacBook Pro because it showed obviously wrong values (highest signal shown as lower value than remote signals; iStumbler confirms the error is in Airport Radar)

AirPort Radar (as of v1.2) does not detect 802.11n networks whereas Air Traffic Control does.

i use it with QuickSilver to add spur-of-the-moment entries without disrupting my workflow

works very well with quicksilver now. the reason I use this is because it's going open-source. I can't sttand the idea of locking myself in to a proprietary application for this very important information. if he could just release the code anytime soon so we could help out...

i'm very serious about monitoring my machine; i keep XRG running constantly at an edge of the screen; i've tried several other tools and settled on this

minor issues on MacBook Pro Core2Duo: it can't show temperature, and right-clicking the CPU or memory graphs can't show the top processes; these had worked on a PowerBook G4

the best Mac OS X man page interface by far; hyperlinks that work, command-line invocation (openman)

it's very useful, but far from perfect; it's sad that so much work has gone into powerful tools only to hide them under an arcane interface; overall has some annoying gaps and a truly degenerate interface; many parts of the interface that could be dynamic are not; the tag text fields are fixed length and much too short; it doesn't do obviously useful things, like drag & drop text selections among text fields in the tagging panes; it doesn't warn you if you type more text than a tag field will hold (e.g. id3v1 tags) or if you try to save tag info with no tag version set (all tag data is then dumped); QuickEdit (Multiple) is missing a some features from QuickEdit (Single) for no good reason; many of the separate modules could be merged, and the modules have strange hieroglyphic icons

very useful for some things. too complex GUI for me.
And why can't I seem to find a way to append a prefix to a tag or remove set number of characters from a tag (e.g. remove the first 3 characters of the title tag which would help me remove a track number and space found in some tracks)
