Comment and replies on Gimp.app:
Too complicated to get working...have to install X11, then found the error I got was because I was running 10.5.2 and in order to fix the problem, I would have to re-download the 10.5.2 combo update and run it again. After all that research on the internet to find why Gimp wasn't working, I gave up. I'll stick with GraphicConverter.
version 2.6 is now available, and what an upgrade! interface is snappier than ever, looks a bit cleaner / more updated, and the whole application has actually started to behave more like a Mac application than a port (interface aside).
Comment and replies on Darwine:
This site has the latest builds of Darwin, but they are compiled as a simple .app so you don't have to install anything or do anything complicated (just drag and drop like normal)
http://www.kronenberg.org/darwine/
http://thisismyinter.net/?p=29 has an installer so things work better and less errors pop up.. It looks like it gets updated a day or two earlier than the kronenberg builds do as well.
Comment and replies on Flash Video Downloader 2:
I fixed the problem with dailymotion in version 2.0.1
Version 2.0.1 is able to download from Dailymotion. I have tried twice and I got both FLV files.
I'm not sure yet if it works will all Dailymotion videos, but it's better now.
Thank you, dear developer, for the fast solution for this problem.

Gimp.app is now at version 2.4.5r2 and it has been compiled as a native build (so X11 is not required!)
it's experimental, but I have not had any problems with it
