Don't upgrade to 2.2.3 It's now shareware :( Time to look for a free alternative or go back to using my CoverSutra

I switched to CoverSutra a few versions back when the MacHeist came out -- see comments there -- this program was using 10%+ of CPU when idling, comparing to <1% for CoverSutra.

For me it works perfectly.

This is very handy when you need to startup your mac in a library or work or any other quiet space and don't want to attract any attention. All it is is a simple preference pane addition that allows you to lower or completely mute your macs startup chime. I always have mine on mute. =)

I love this program. I use this thing every morning at work. It helps time my tea for me while I do my morning setup at work (in which time i can't pay attention to how long my tea has been steeping) and dings and/or shows a pop up when the tea is done. Great app. Also works to time coffee. Oh and you can input an unlimited amount of teas and coffees yourself for those that like to change it up.

simple as can be for those tealovers that use to dive deep into work and forget about everything - but the tea to keep 'em going :)

I don't know what people are smokin'. This app is way better than TV Shows imo. I used TV Shows for a long time before I found this app and I always had trouble finding the shows I wanted. ted is so much better at finding shows and downloading them as soon as t hey become available. Give it a chance and you will see how much better it works than TV Shows.

Ted seems to idle at 30% CPU usage on my MacBook running Leopard. That’s with no episode checks going on. Restarting the app doesn’t help.

this cpu problem is known and only occurs on leopard for some strange reason. I fixed it for the next release. Could you try the latest development version and see if that helps.

the memory and CPU problems have been fixed in our 0.95 release.

I use miro currently and am giving TED a shot. So far I'm pretty happy with it. One thing it does better than miro so far is automatically searching torrent sites and setting up feeds based on channel names. Saves a lot of time for me. Also the fact that it plays nicely with transmission is an added bonus.
