Comment and replies on SmartSVN:
I'm sorry, but I disagree about that. Smartsvn provides a mac installer, and it runs without any emulators on OSX, thus it will not be removed from the site.
Could the owner add svn, Mac OSX and GUI as tags too? I think we should spread this to the Mac world!!

Wow, this is the one to get for all your WOL needs. It even scans the network for ease of use.
Comment and replies on Super Mario War:
lame, I need Admin to install this?
So I tried compiling the source code but the build failed because it can't find png.h
SDL_image is already installed.
oh well, maybe I'll check it out when SMW grows up to be a .app someday.
This is flat out awesome. A great party game, and the bots can even give a single player a bit of a challenge. It's got all the classic elements of Mario, but with a TON added, while managing to keep it still looking and feeling like a true Mario game.
It's the sort of thing I'd expect to be on one of Nintendo's newer consoles, though with more content (it's already got a HUGE amount, but for it to be sold/distributed, I'd still expect a bit more).
And as to the people saying that they can't compile and install it... there's a binary distribution. Use that instead.
On surface level, this appears to be a clone of Bunnies from DOS and Linux. Multiplayer, stomp on each other's heads to get points. But I just downloaded this, and holy crap! More game play modes and item spawns than you can shake a stick at! Here's hoping for netplay :)
My kid can play this for hours with the endless variety of modes available. Many game modes are reminicient of the original Unreal Tournament, now 2-D, on small maps--tons of fun.

This is not a mac app and doesn't belong on osx.iusethis.com. The program uses a java based file manager so there is no drag and drop support. Since smartsvn is not a mac app you have to press the refresh button for the app to recognize changes on the filesystem (files that were created or modified outside of smartsvn).
Other than smartsvn failing in the mac department, I think it is great, just like others say it is. Maybe this app will move to java.iusethis.com when Arne & Marcus get around to it.
