factoryjoe: legal in the same way that recording from on-air radio to cassette tapes was legal 15 years ago :)
Now I can make mixtapes of mp3s...

Other then that: this is just a briliant app that does everything the Pandora+Last.FM+iTunes user would want.

(Now we just need to have Pandora back in the UK)

Wow. I think I just found my alltime favorite way to steal music. This app has a great little interface, and having every song automatically recorded and added to itunes is genius.

Though, I don't see how this app can stay alive without Pandora suing them out of existence. Either that or the RIAA is going to use it as justification to take Pandora down.

Well, lets hope it stays under the radar. So, if you really like this app... DONT VOTE FOR IT ;-)

I'm using them together with MenuMeters. What I was missing was the temperature bar. Now I have it! Another cool feature is the date next to the clock, less features than MenuCalendarClock, but free and wondeful. Over all, its a great app, and mashup of other tiny little menuextras. Recommended.

I just LOVE this, it's just perfect! Always wanted to be able to monitor my macbaby without having to open the dashboard and without bulky apps.. Thanks for this!

Beautiful UI and seems extrememly resource friendly. Finally I can have monitoring in the menu bar! Thanks!

Hrm. I don't recall the previous versions requiring administrative access to install. I suppose this is another app I won't be installing.

Scratch that. It asks for administrative access, but still installs if you deny it said access. Odd...

bradbeattie,
The install will work without an administrator pass(even though it will say its failed) but the new process monitoring feature wont work properly. The process server needs administrator permissions otherwise it can't get some of the information.

The free space figure of the "drives" menu item takes more than 1 minute to update, even though it's set to update every 1.3 second... :(

@me: to workaround this problem, I'm now using spacecontrol that updates faster, and also has an adjustable alarm for low free space.

I used this for 5 months, then removed it. Takes quite a bit of resources for what it does. I have a similar program on my PC (everest) where it makes much more sense since my box is watercooled, etc. Knowing the CPU temp on my macbook on the other hand presents much less interest. To be fair it does what it says on the tin.

I love this program. The best feature is how I am able to perfectly customise the appearance of the time and date, along with the drop down calendar and time zones from the menu bar.

All the other features are just icing on the cake for me.

Just moved to this from MenuMeters, I like this a bit better but there's not much in it. The fact this is being actively developed swung it for me.

This works on 10.5 with a few small cosmetic display issues in open menus.

Something is up with this program. It's absolutely beautiful and fun and comprehensive, but it caused my system to get really sluggish - expose, spotlight, dock, all animations were jerky. Maybe it's related to the sketchy MenuCracker hack that it secretly installs.

you'll definately want this compared to other solutions doing similar tasks. the menu items are highly configurable, movable and you are free to choose which icon sits where (thats not the case with all menu items out there!)

one thing worth the mention is, that some of the items have access to system items like the activity monitor or the network preferences... each attached to the connected item, like lets say you may launch the activity monitor from the cpu meter menu and the network preferences from the network one. not a biggy, but it'll save you space in your dock, if you have the activity monitor in there.

make sure to check out the other software by islayer. they're all slick to look at and very speedy to use. no memory hogs or alikes.

absolutely liquid piece of software worth each minute of its use! donation is awesome as well!
