This seems like it could be quite impressive, but for someone who's new at it, its very overwhelming. Fun to navigate, but to get things rolling it takes some time and reading a lot in the wiki (which is annoying. There should be documents that come with it already if not a tutorial on how to set up everything).

This has been one of my most essential audio tools ever, next to Wave Editor.

Making some noises in Wave Editor, while recording it with WireTap, then bring it back to Wave Editor, is a killer method.

Depending on your preferences, you might (like I do) prefer this version, i.e. WireTap Pro, rather that its successor, WireTap Studio, which I find to be too bloated and clunky to operate.

Combine PDF's by deef

This functionality is now in Preview, true, but CombinePDFs is much better for working with large documents. I was just trying to read 5 pages of an 1100 page PDF in Preview (and Skim) and my computer was beachballing every time I tried to move from one page to the next etc. Trying to extract the pages from the PDF using Preview led to similar delays. I pulled the PDF into CombinePDFs and extracted the 5 pages practically instantly, with no delays, & now have a much more manageable PDF to read in Preview. If you're only dealing with short PDFs, maybe you can stick with Preview, but if you want to extract book chapters, articles from collections of journals, etc. CombinePDFs is invaluable.
