Caffeine

Caffeine is a tiny program that puts an icon in the right side of your menu bar. Click it to prevent your Mac from automatically going to sleep, dimming the screen or starting screen savers. Click it again to go back. Hold down the Command key while clicking to show the menu.

Google SketchUp
SketchUp is a fast and simple 3D modeling program. You can use it to model simple objects, like your house. You can use textures and colors, too. After Google aquired SketchUp, they came out whit this free version. It is still not universal, but works well in Rosetta. You can export to 2D images or directly into Google Earth. Google also has a 3D Wharehouse where you can upload your models and download the other user's.

MacFUSE
MacFUSE implements a mechanism that makes it possible to implement a fully functional file system in a user-space program on Mac OS X.

MacFusion
MacFusion is an open source Mac application that allows you to work with files on servers across the internet, as if they were sitting on your computer. Macfusion presents a Volume in Finder, letting you use your favorite Mac applications to work with them. Macfusion works with SSH/SFTP and FTP servers.
More generally, Macfusion is a front-end to Gogole's MacFUSE software. Macfusion provides a plugin API to enable the creation of plugins for other FUSE filesystems.

MenuCalendarClock for iCal
This app replaces the date and time in your menubar with a fully customizable menu extra that displays an interactive drop-down monthly calendar. Displays calendar events and birthdays (requires registration, or willingness to deal with somewhat frequent nag screens), to do items, and will launch iCal when double clicked. The colors are also configurable. Expensive, but reclaims the valuable menubar space by adding much-needed functionality.
