AppCleaner
Presentation
AppCleaner is a small application which allows you to completely and properly uninstall unwanted apps.
It isn't, in fact, sufficient to just delete an application. Installing an application distributes many files throughout your System using space of your Hard Drive unnecessarily.
AppCleaner can find all these small files and safely delete them.
The toolbar has the following useful features.
Drop an application onto the AppCleaner icon and AppCleaner searches for the related files and then by clicking the red cross it deletes them.
If you change your mind, just click on the green arrow back button.
The "Applications" button shows all the applications installed on your system. You can select them and then click on the magnifying glass search button. AppCleaner will search for the related files of the selected applications and delete them, too.
The "Widgets" button shows all the installed widgets and the "Others" button displays all the installed Preference Panes, Plugins and Screen Savers.

AppTrap
Uninstalling on Mac OS X; let's solve it once and for all!
What can be considered the exact opposite of dragging an application to the Applications folder? Opening another application, dragging the unwanted application to that application, clicking a button, clicking another button, quitting? Nope!
The exact opposite would have to be... dragging the application to the trash. Ah, there you go! This is exactly what AppTrap does. Whenever you drag an application to the trash, a dialog window will pop up, asking if you want to delete the associated system files too. Simple as that.
AppTrap is a completely free utility for uninstalling applications on Mac OS X.
-
AppZapper
Everybody loves the drag and drop nature of OS X. Drag an app into your applications folder, and it's installed. You'd think it would be that easy to delete an app - just a matter of dragging it to the trash. But it's not. Applications install preferences, caches, and other support files throughout your computer that take up space and generate clutter. Deleting these by hand every time you delete an app is a pain.

This reliably prevents private data from being sent out without your knowledge. Little Snitch runs inconspicuously in the background and it can also detect network related activity of viruses, trojans and other malware.

Menu Bar Tint
This little application is for those who, like us, don't want a translucent menu bar when working with Mac OS X 10.5 "Leopard" and have thus made it opaque by means of Steve Miner's environment variable trick. Once you've made your menu bar opaque this way, you'll notice that the menu bar has become very white, and that it looks very plain.
Running Menu Bar Tint in the background — as a log-in item, preferably — will make your newly opaque menu bar feel more at home among all the other user interface elements in Mac OS X. You can even have the menu bar's tint depend on whether your mouse hovers over it. And if you feel like going wild with colors, you're free to do so, too.

Permanent Eraser
When you normally delete your files in Mac OS X, the operating system is only forgetting where those particular files are placed, while the data still physically remains on the drive. Beginning with Mac OS 10.3, Apple enhanced its security by introducing the Secure Empty Trash feature, which follows the U.S. DoD pattern of overwriting data seven times.
Permanent Eraser provides an even stronger level of security by implementing the Gutmann Method. This utility overwrites your data thirty-five times, scrambles the original file name, and truncates the file size to nothing before Permanent Eraser finally unlinks it from the system. Once your data has been erased, it can no longer be read through traditional means.
Permanent Eraser is free of charge, and the source code is also provided for educational purposes.
